About us

Beijing Puran Railway Braking High-Tech Co., Ltd. (“Puran Technology”), founded in 2008, is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the rail transit sector. The company provides full lifecycle services covering R&D, manufacturing, sales, and maintenance, and is recognized as a leading enterprise in the industry.

Driven by technological innovation, the company has achieved independent breakthroughs in key areas such as brake pads and brake shoes (core railway consumables), hydraulic dampers, electronic boards and modules maintenance, and carbon contact strips. Its products are widely used across a full range of applications, including high-speed EMUs, locomotives, railway wagons, subways, urban rail transit, and heavy track maintenance machinery.

With strong R&D and manufacturing capabilities, Puran Technology has become a key player in the localization of rail transit equipment in China. A number of products have been successfully mass-produced, and the company has established long-term partnerships with leading enterprises in China and internationally, such as CRRC and Siemens.

Puran Technology places great importance on system development and quality certification. It has obtained ISO9001, ISO14001, IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard), and CRCC certifications. It is among the first companies in the domestic industry to obtain both IRIS and UIC international certifications, and also holds multiple internationally recognized certifications, including GOST.

As a railway components manufacturer in the rail transit industry with comprehensive certification credentials and full vehicle model compatibility, the company has established a solid foundation for delivering reliable products and services.

The company has received numerous honors, including the “Specialized, Sophisticated, Unique and Innovative ‘Little Giant’ Enterprise” and “China Hidden Unicorn Enterprise.” Its business covers all 18 railway administrations in China, and its products are exported to multiple regions across Europe, Asia, and beyond.

  • Beijing Puran Railway Braking High-Tech Co., Ltd. was established on September 12, 2008.
    2008
  • In 2014, the company established a comprehensive production base in Heze, Shandong Province, with a total investment of 200 million yuan. The facility covers an area of approximately 13.33 hectares (200 mu) and has a total floor area of 40,000 square meters.

    As the core R&D and manufacturing center for Puran Technology’s braking products, the base has an annual production capacity of over 500,000 units. With the support of the affiliated Shandong Provincial Key Engineering Laboratory for Friction Materials, it enables seamless integration of technological R&D and large-scale production.

  • In 2015, the Company invested in and established Shandong Lingborui Rail Transit Technology Co., Ltd. in Heze, Shandong Province, focusing on overcoming key technological bottlenecks in hydraulic dampers for high-speed EMUs.

    As a core production base for hydraulic dampers used in rail transit vehicles, Lingborui is equipped with advanced facilities such as welding robots and flexible assembly lines, along with a comprehensive testing system, featuring industry-leading equipment. The facility has an annual capacity of 300,000 units.

    Supported by an R&D team led by experts receiving special government allowances from the State Council, the Company has obtained a number of patents. It is among the first domestic enterprises to obtain CRCC certification for dampers used in EMUs operating at speeds of 300 km/h or higher.

  • In 2019, the Company introduced advanced electronic maintenance technologies and established Beijing AIDBOOM Electronic Technology Service Co., Ltd., becoming one of the first private enterprises in China’s rail transit industry capable of providing systematic overhaul services for electronic boards and modules used in EMUs.

  • Puran (Germany) Co., Ltd. was established in Munich, Germany, in 2019. As a wholly owned subsidiary of the Group, it is primarily responsible for international trade operations.

  • In early 2021, Beijing Puran launched the localized development and industrialization of pantograph carbon materials, a key consumable for high-voltage systems in high-speed EMUs. The Company subsequently established Shandong Yuntie New Material Technology Co., Ltd., specializing in the R&D, production, and sales of pantograph carbon contact strips.

    Its products are widely used in various rail transit vehicles, including high-speed trains, locomotives, freight wagons, and metro systems, providing reliable power transmission for the high-speed and stable operation of rolling stock.

  • In 2021, Beijing Puran Railway Braking High-tech Co., Ltd. was listed among the China Hidden Unicorn 500.

  • In 2021, the Company entered into an R&D cooperation agreement with Southwest Jiaotong University on high-speed dampers. During the same period, it established a high-end damper R&D center in Suzhou, equipped with experimental facilities that are at the domestic forefront and meet internationally recognized standards.

    The R&D center maintains close collaborations with leading research institutions, including the State Key Laboratory of Traction Power at Southwest Jiaotong University, the China Academy of Railway Sciences, and the Tianjin Research Institute for Advanced Equipment of Tsinghua University. It has also established a long-term cooperation framework with research teams from Southwest Jiaotong University to jointly carry out innovative R&D on high-speed train dampers.

    By introducing technical expertise from the first group of chief experts from the former CNR, along with consulting teams specializing in heavy-haul equipment from China State Railway Group, the Company has further strengthened its R&D capabilities.

  • In 2024, Puran Technology acquired Guizhou Huaxing Aviation Technology Co., Ltd., which specializes in the R&D and production of composite brake blocks for freight wagons, with an annual production capacity of 1 million units.
